Dr. Melchior Mbonimpa

A Canadian of African origin, Melchior Mbonimpa holds a doctorate in philosophy from the Gregorian University and a doctorate in theology from the Université de Montréal. He has taught in the Department of Religious Studies at the University of Sudbury for the past fifteen years, and has directed the university's Centre for Ethics for the past six years. World religions are the main focus of our courses. He has published several essays on the politics and immediate history of Africa, especially of his native Great Lakes region. He has also published a number of novels to get off the island inhabited by members of the academic tribe.
